Every couple of months, I get to spend a whole day peeling garlic so my mom can make bottles of garlic ginger paste.

It’s oddly easier to do this than having to grind a small bit of paste every time we cook.
This is 40 bulbs worth, I did 48 today.

It’s nuts because I only counted 36 in the beginning, and when I took a break to get a drink my mom sneaked in another 12.

My thumbs are really sore now.

Seriously, school starts on Tuesday?

It’s been hot so the animal hasn’t wanted to go on long walks, so he spends most of his time just in the front yard which gives me too much time to stare at my flowers and then wonder WHAT THE SWEET JEEBUS IS GOING ON!?

That guy at the bottom center… why is it growing all spherical with the petals blasting out from the sides and not around it!?

It’s freaky looking.

Why does it look like it’s missing a chromosome!? Is there something in the water!?

Am I gonna grow more ears or my wisdom teeth again or more wrists?

(hopefully not but the idea of spare wrists is intriguing considering my wrist cyst [dearlordrhyming] is growing back slowly)

You’d never really think there would be so much drama in a retail job that has people quitting with such passionate vigor that you normally only can find in a soap opera or an over-played Rene Zellweger movie that rhymes with “Midget Bones Fiery” but alas, there is, and it’s given us all headaches and cravings for pancakes.

Fuck who wouldn’t want pancakes after a bad week?

So a bunch of us rolled over to IHOP after work on Saturday, where it was all fun and happiness until 3/4 of the way through my shortstack, I found this:

It rhymes with “fair”

And I sincerely hope it doesn’t rhyme with “cubic fair”.

Disgusting yes? I know, I didn’t complain though just pointed it out and the server was decent enough not to charge me for anything but my lemonade.

Oh and geez it wasn’t me that quit, I don’t have the balls.

I have hit a creative lull right now.

I haven’t touched my camera in weeks, (or this blog really) or my sketchbooks.

I’m ahead of all my readings for class though, and I did figure out two possible topics for my final paper with my prof, now I’m just back to researching and trying to decide between the two.

Which I could do a hell of a lot easier if my neighbours would stop letting their stupid son stay home alone for days just so he can blast music so loud and repetitively that I’d rather beat my head against a wall than listen to chumbawamba for 30 minutes! The fucking irony of his playlist just isn’t funny anymore, I don’t care, I just don’t fucking care and we have noise bylaws and it’s fucking Monday night and oh look the nice policemen have arrived…

*gets popcorn*

As I sit here and try to find some article-y goodness to review for my Tuesday class all I can hear is my brother’s TV while he watches something on the Discovery Channel and so every 5 minutes it’s that boom-dee-ah-da song and then some suspenseful music again as some announcer dude who fancies himself to be the next Morgan Freemanbut probably without the facial liver spots says “nothing can escape it’s titantic jaws” for the eleventy billionth time and now my contacts are getting dry so I’m blinking more and more because I’m too stubborn to get up and get my glasses on because I still haven’t found ANYTHING that remotely interests me in all of JSTOR, google scholar and ASP and whatever else i’ve tried using, expect project muse because I’m not fucking spending 40$ on an article that may or may not have the relevant info and bawls to them for just trying that.

So on Canada Day I watched The Last Airbender in 3D.

I think I sat on this post so long because I didn’t want to blog angry and then have it be different after I sleep but fuck this really bothered me, so this post is mostly for my nerdly readers.

First of all, 3D is not that spectacular, I don’t understand why people are so gung-ho about all this 3D shite.

The graphics were excellent by the way, the bending effects were wicked. Dev Patel (guy who plays Zuko) gave an ok performance as Zuko, despite the error in race (Zuko is suppose to be Chinese, which is not Indian fyi). His scar is barely there on his face, because his skin is too dark and the scar is lighter… Someone remind me, aren’t scars usually darker!? (at least mine are)

Everything else wrong is as follows, I have nothing nice left to say:

1. No penguin sledding or koi riding

2. Suki and the Kyoshi warriors weren’t even mentioned – WTF!! I was looking forward to watching Sokka learn how to fight in a dress and makeup.

3. Funny Sokka — what funny Sokka!!?? SOKKA WAS TOO F-ING SERIOUS. They took out all the epic Sokka scenes. like when Sokka was trying to figure Appa out and when he first met Momo the flying lemur.

4. Katara’s suppose to be motherly and a bitch at the same time, instead she’s a hormonal cry baby.

5. Commander Zhao was a total coward. That’s also ass-backwards.

6. The fights between Zhao and Zuko on the fire nation warship were taken out… It’s a movie about wars, you don’t take out fights!!!

7. Aang was too mature… Also how the hell do you twist to story so suddenly a monk wants to have a family!? Monks don’t have families, they renounce all that! >_<

8. Uncle Iroh is not fat.

9. Water bending duel between Katara and Aang was out too..Dx

10. The last scene in the Water Book was absolute fail of a whale. M.Night ran out of cash at that point and didn’t create the large water spirit penguin.

11. The spirit world of the avatar was also fail. it was like a freakin enchanted forest where stupid twilight characters roam. (hello princess… I am here to enchant your sacred forest…)

12. It took 4 water benders to take down Zhao… that wasn’t even in the cartoon!!!

^^^ This probably would have been a better movie… ^^^

13. oh AND I’M NEVER WATCHING ANYTHING IN 3D AGAIN. FUCKING POINTLESS SHITE.

I get to wake up super early to go to Richmond tomorry, yaaaay!

I’m not complaining though, there will be fun to be had, and fish cuz I’m being kidnapped to a fish festival of the fishiest variety… Maybe I’ll bring Nemo with me, which sounds like a better idea the more I think of it cuz after the festival we’re gonna get our nerd on and see the Avatar Last Airbender and I’d rather hold a plush fish than a box of greasy popcorn.

(fuck you james cameron and fuck you nickelodeon for not standing up to him)

My charming neighbour has already kicked off his 4 day weekend by sitting in his hot tub, naked (gross) and eating KFC (grosser). It’s like he’s trying to be Homer Simpson, only not at all funny… Are the Simpsons even funny now?

Argh nevermind. Here’s to hoping they have salmon flavoured vodka tomorrow!

Ok seriously this is annoying the fuck out of me.

An hour ago I was downstairs ready to start cooking up my stir fry and I had my fish all ready to be cooked when my mom got a call that someone we knew 8 years had been in town ALL WEEK but is leaving tomorrow morning so she just has to come NOW to meet her.

WTF, you had a week and you call last minute so now I have to put all the food away just for this woman?

Am I the only one who considers this inconsiderate? Is it my crazy low blood sugar that’s having a rage on or this is not actually a case of poor manners, little logic and her being a TOTAL FUCKING BONEHEAD!?

Maybe it’s the late nights or that I was forced to ride in a Prius (power buttons? wut it looked like an Apple product) today or that I was almost dragged into a Magic: The Gathering store (UGGGGGH No) but I find this kinda funny.

Also, I gave the dog a bath today, only I set out to annoy my mother too because why the hell not, so I put rose petals in his bathwater. Ridiculously romantical gestures are lost on him but the look on my mother’s face was priceless.
